RADIO & AUDIO

Juliet loves radio/audio and has reported and presented from across the world, mostly for the BBC.

She has been a BBC Foreign Correspondent, made feature programmes, and created (on a shoe-string) a series of as-live Health discussion/advice programmes for a digital station. She was recently shortlisted for Broadcaster of the Year at the British Travel Press Awards.

Starting her career at BBC Television - in Science Features and Entertainment, before settling in Current Affairs - Juliet moved into Radio to become the BBC Correspondent in Indonesia. Based in Jakarta, she covered events across the Indonesian archipelago from Aceh to East Timor, as well as in the wider Southeast Asian region.

Returning to London she went freelance but continued to work for the BBC, particularly Radio 4, but also Radio 3 and The World Service. Her 13-part series, The Health Show, ran on The Wireless (the radio station of Age UK).

Juliet has also spoken as a guest on programmes and podcasts from BBC Woman’s Hour to Armchair Explorer, and was for several years a judge for the Audie Awards.

She now contributes particularly to BBC Radio 4’s From Our Own Correspondent and would like to do more radio/podcasts in the future.
