JULIET RIX IS AN AWARD-WINNING FREELANCE JOURNALIST
Juliet Rix is an award-winning writer, editor and broadcaster working for the Guardian, Telegraph, Times, and BBC, among others. Her latest book is London’s Statues of Women (Safe Haven Books, 2025). Juliet writes particularly on arts & culture, travel and health, as well as interviewing. She is the author of three non-fiction books for adults and two fiction books for children.
Juliet gives talks, chairs panels and leads workshops, and has been a judge on journalism and audio awards. She is a lecturer/tour leader for Martin Randall Travel and Kirker, and has specialist knowledge of Malta.
Her degree in Natural Sciences (biological) and History of Art still accurately represents Juliet’s range of interests, and she has held a number of public appointments including NED/trusteeships and chair of fitness to practise tribunals for the Health & Care Professions Council. She sits on two health-related government scientific advisory committees as a public interest member.
